I bought this lens together with my A6500 and both lens and camera fit perfectly. I use this lens to take environmental portrait pictures of children and I'm extremely satisfied with this lens. The lens is sharp and fast and matches perfectly with the camera in terms of size and weight. If you plan to purchase a single lens only for the a6xxx then this is the lens.

Other than the kit lens from Sony a6000, SEL50F18 was my first prime. Price are not too high and quality is excellent. Only problem is it has very narrow angle of view. Hence I started to look for second lens. After debating from SEL1670, SEL18105G, SEL35F18Z, finally I ended up with Sony SEL24F18z which blown my original budget far far away. Yet I am very happy this lens. It is fast and sharp. I let my wife who doesn't really know how to use a camera to do some shot. Her comment is " no focus really required. Just point and shoot". Yet she can get a very sharp photo. So it is good for street photography. I have to confess it is pricey but once you get it - no regret! Strongly recommended!
